‘Dong Bo Rou’ - Foods in Bangkok

Stand aside Malaysia’s SOHO~”新煮意” or “龍的傳人” and make way for Bangkok’s “永和豆浆”.  When your days of Tom Yum Goong and Papaya Salads has been too much for you to bear during your stay in Bangkok and you crave for some Chinese Food…永和豆浆 will be one of your many answers.

永和豆浆 serves delectable Shanghai Mini Steam Bun “上海小籠包”  (140 baht),

Delicious ‘Dong Bo Rou’ (75 baht),

Sliced beef pancake roll “油餅夹牛肉” (110 baht) and my all time favorite Beef Noodle “紅燒牛肉麵” (95 baht).  Of course not forgetting to promote their hot soy bean as well, it is very thick and taste heavenly (only 25 baht)

All noodles and chinese pastries are made in-house and the ingredients are very fresh too.  If you sit on the correct corner, you can even see the chef preparing your noodles too!

Sorry I ordered ‘Dong Bo Rou’ this week, thus only have one miserable photo.  There are others in the menu that are worth recommending, and one of them is the Pork Cutlet Noodle “排骨麵”, there are also an array of cold dishes, including sliced cold beef, seaweed salad, beancurd with century egg, and all of them are priced at a reasonable 50 baht!

The best part is, it is strategically located at ChongNonsi Station (BTS).  Exit 3.

If you come during lunch & dinner hour, do not be put away by their crowded ground floor, as they have a 2nd floor seating available (with no extra charge).

The taste of food in this restaurant works well for me, try it yourslef the next time when you are in Bangkok.

Come back and check on “Shopping for Food in Bangkok” next week!  Next week’s highlight is on yummy “Thai Food”!
