Quan Nem with its 3 famous Vietnamese dishes
Having the habit of going to the same shop for dining, today I dine Quan Nem again. I am coming here every Friday if I am not in the airport to rush back to KL for the weekend. As the title tells, this place only serves 3 selection of dishes. The simple menu really caught me in surprise the first time I came here. Look at the menu below, it looks incredibly simple.

This is what I like about this restaurant. With a very limited of selections, I don’t need to scratch my head about what to choose. This is especially good when I am rushing to go shopping or after along day work. x
The main dish is vermicelli which the Vietnamese called it as “Bun”. One could choose to have the “bun” with the yummy Hue-style crab spring rolls, fresh water crab or the famous Vietnam style grilled pork. And for today I have ordered the crab spring roll to go with my vermicelli.

The Vietnamese way to eat this dish is to put some “bun” in a bowl and add in some herb leaves and one or two spoonful of fish sauce or “nuoc mam” which is an essential in the Vietnamese cooking. I like to use dried basil in my cooking, but to eat it fresh I guess it will need to take me awhile to adapt. Without the herbs in my bowl, the meal is still delicious. I like it very much, especially when I can feel the chunky crab meats bite in the spring roll.
